Spritzee is the Perfume Pokémon, a small bird-like Fairy-type introduced in Generation VI (Pokémon X and Y) in the Kalos region. Its body continuously emits a fragrant scent that can charm and enthrall those who smell it, and historically noble ladies were said to keep Spritzee close to enjoy its perfume. When it eats different berries, the scent it produces changes, and it evolves into Aromatisse when traded while holding a Sachet.
The Japanese name シュシュプ (Shushupu) is thought to derive from onomatopoeia and sound elements suggesting a spray or puff of perfume—evoking the soft 'shush' or spritzing of a scent bottle. It may also echo French-inspired sounds, fitting the Kalos region's French theme where this Pokémon debuted. The English name 'Spritzee' comes from 'spritz' (a fine spray, as of perfume), with a cute diminutive '-ee' ending to reflect its small, dainty nature.
