Klefki

Klefki is a Steel/Fairy-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VI (the Kalos region) in Pokémon X and Y. Resembling a small key ring laden with keys, it draws in metal ions through the horn atop its head and is said to love keys so deeply that its own body came to resemble one. Folklore and game lore portray Klefki as a fierce guardian of important keys, never relinquishing those entrusted to it, which has made it a symbol of safekeeping and security.

The Japanese name クレッフィ (Kureffi) is generally understood to derive from words like 'key' and possibly 'mischief' or the French/Latin influence common to Kalos-region Pokémon, with the elongated sound giving it a playful, jingling quality. The English name 'Klefki' similarly blends 'key' with a clinking, keychain-like sound, reflecting its appearance as a ring of keys. Both names directly evoke the Key Ring Pokémon category and its signature key-shaped form.
