About this card

This is a Common Basic Pokémon card of Rowlet, numbered 10 in the English-language Perfect Order set. As a Common Basic, it typically serves as an early-evolution staple, with Rowlet often depicted in cute, nature-themed artwork; specific stats and artist details are not confirmed here.

History

Rowlet is the Grass/Flying-type starter Pokémon of the Alola region, introduced in Generation VII (Pokémon Sun and Moon). True to its Pokédex description, it flies in near silence and can twist its head almost fully around to scan its surroundings, launching sharp feathers as projectiles. It evolves into Dartrix and then Decidueye, gaining a more ninja- or archer-like combat style as it matures.

Name & meaning

The Japanese name モクロー (Mokurō) combines 木 (moku, 'tree/wood') with フクロウ (fukurō, 'owl'), reflecting its identity as a Grass-type owl Pokémon. The English name 'Rowlet' blends 'owl' with the diminutive suffix '-let' (as in 'owlet,' a young owl), and also evokes 'rowan'/'leaf' for its grass typing. Both names emphasize a small, leafy owlet.
